“My child became interested in the ukulele after seeing a performance during our trip to Hawaii. Since the school will also be offering ukulele lessons, we decided to start lessons at Exquisite Music during the summer break to build a strong foundation and explore the instrument more.
At first, I wasn’t sure if private lessons were necessary, but after seeing my child learn with the teacher, my perspective completely changed. The lessons are not just about learning chords and techniques the teacher encourages singing while playing, which makes the experience fun, engaging, and helps build confidence.
I love seeing how excited my child is for each lesson and how much more comfortable they are with music. The teacher creates a positive environment that makes learning an instrument enjoyable.
I highly recommend Exquisite Music for any child who is just starting out with ukulele or guitar. It’s a wonderful place to develop a love for music and gain confidence from the very beginning.”

“My son has been doing guitar lessons here and absolutely loves it! The one-on-one instruction is what he has needed to help him improve his skills both in guitar and voice. We have also done group lessons which were perfect in the beginning and helped his confidence with playing. We’ve had different instructors and each have helped him improve in various ways. The real treat has been to see his joy for playing and singing grow. Highly recommend for anyone thinking to start guitar or voice classes.”

“Mrs. Maria is super patient with my 2 kids even when they’re goofing off. She is able to coral them back and get them to focus again. My kids love singing with her. They are learning to read music, master their breathing, and listen carefully. I gotta admit, I was afraid to post here in case she got way too busy, but she deserves kudos!”

“I can't rave enough about this school! We enrolled my 12 year old son for the summer camp program. Ms. Maria is an enthusiastic, knowledgeable, inspiring music professional who has given our 12-year son the confidence, motivation, and skills to play. She adapted to my son's learning style. Surprisingly my son never complaind about the 3 hour sessions.I love that this school offers you a flexible way of learning with plenty of one-on-one instruction while in a group setting (best of both worlds, in my view). Overall, the school was a fun, great and safe environment (i.e. COVID compliant) that we felt comfortable taking our son to and that he enjoyed being at, including the opportunity to get to know his fellow students.”

“My daughter has been taking guitar lessons with Mrs. Maria for a few months now and our experience thus far has been great.
From the very first trial lesson, Mrs. Maria set a positive and comfortable tone with my daughter. It was right then that we decided to purchase a full package of lessons and continue with her.
Mrs. Maria is very generous with her time and makes sure that each lesson is productive (no excessive side chatter). Plus, parents are allowed to sit in the room and observe throughout the lesson, which I like. Outside of lessons, Mrs. Maria makes herself available to answer questions and even called my daughter and sang to her on her birthday, which made my daughter feel really special. She also sends follow-up emails after most lessons to review what was learned and what needs to be practiced.
If you are considering letting your child try out guitar, I highly recommend Mrs. Maria. She has two young children herself, so she really knows how to work with kids as well as balance challenging them with having fun.
Location: Mrs. Maria's studio is very quaint and private, located on the upstairs level of a retail mall, and there is always ample parking.”

“Our 9 year old son has been receiving guitar lessons from Ms. Maria for about 2 years now and we could not be happier with the progress and achievements he has had over that time. Ms. Maria ensures that the sessions are fun, interactive, and clear for our young son both in person pre-pandemic and via zoom during the pandemic. Not only has his play excelled but he has learned to read music which has allowed him to pick up new songs much quicker. Ms. Maria keeps open communication with the parents and ensures that we have the resources to keep him practicing and engaged outside the scheduled sessions. We would recommend Ms. Maria and Exquisite Music to anyone! She really cares about the kids and their success.
